Zed Bias pres. Yannah Valdevit - Gotta Keep Me Goin’ [Tru Thoughts] * Electronica, Nu Jazz. No room for doubts: this is the good stuff (and that comes as no surprise if you’re familiar with the respective back catalogues).  EP out already, but can’t seem to find it in any of the usual places (?)  Album “Equilibrium” on the way…

Azanyah - I Will Surely Come Again [Jazzman]*Jazz. Saxophone and piano soloist, drummer also features heavily (percussionist and vocalist deserve a mention also). 

The most uncompromising and no-nonsense jazz composition I’ve heard in many years. Not for the faint hearted (or for those with short attention spans).
Album: The one, appears to be vinyl/CD only :-(.

Jerker Kluge’s Deep Jazz - Little Sunflower [Perfect Toy] *Jazz. Silky vocal arrangement, dreamy clarinet solo, and plenty of other interesting things going in the background too (especially in the last few seconds when the drummer starts talking). May well be the best take on Little Sunflower that I’ve ever heard.

Roy Ayers - Mystic Voyage (Version) [BBE] *yeah like I need to describe this one (although it is worth mentioning that this is a vocal version, not sure who’s behind the mic, but she’s damn good). Pick inspired by this weeks basic soul. 15 years of BBE available here.
